WELCOME TO THE WALDOBORO FARMERS MARKET!
Every Saturday from June 22-Sept 14 in 2019 will find the farmers market at the Waldoboro Town Office on the front lawn. This change of day and more visible and frequently trafficked location will help bring the market to a new level of exposure. There are two children's gardens, a picnic table and lot's of good food to eat and fresh produce to bring home. The town office is at 1600 Atlantic Highway next to Depot Street and across from Bella Gia's Restaurant. You can still go over to Cider Hill Farm to play disc golf or fly a kite.
2017 Cider Hill Farm will be hosting a farmers market on Wednesdays, for the fourth year! Just south of route one, in the historic Village of Waldoboro, is the site of a newly formed farmers market. This is now known as Cider Hill Farm and on this site resides a historic cider press, which is visible from Main Street as you drive by. The market will open on June and will continue until September, every Wednesday from 3 to 6:30 pm. Fresh and organic vegetables, artisan cheeses, yogurt, caramels, meats, native poultry & eggs, flowers, locally produced and dyed yarns, jams & jellies, breads, olive oils & vinegars will all be available at this local market. Cider Hill Farm is the location of the first centennial celebration of the incorporation of the Town of Waldoboro. That year, the celebration was held on July 4th, 1873. When the parade procession reached Smouse’s Grove (now Cider Hill Farm), 600 hungry people enjoyed a wonderful feast. So now, in 2016, this site houses a farmers market with an abundance of fresh food, live entertainment and fun family activities.
